Welcome to William Tyndale Primary School

We are unswervingly committed to high standards and expectations for all children. Our broad and creative curriculum opportunities provide a firm base for all children to thrive and develop within an excitingly diverse community.

We are also proud of our:

  • Skills Builder programme, linking children’s education to the world of work in partnership with local organisations such as The Little Angel Theatre, Udderlicious, Malin and Goetz and many, many more;
  • Rights Respecting programme, an additional dimension to our PSHE provision;
  • Many awards, including the most recent BDA (British Dyslexia Association) Friendly School award. These awards reflect much of what is unique and special to our school ethos;
  • Debating curriculum, which further underpins our conviction that oracy is such an important key to learning;
  • Opportunities for developing children’s responsibility through roles such as Dyslexia Ambassadors, Playground Leaders, School Councillors and Lunchtime Monitors;
  • 21st century wireless ICT provision, including iPads or laptops for children across Years 1 – 6;
  • Specialist music teaching for all classes, Nursery to Year 6;
  • recorder tuition for all Year 3 children, and Samba and African drumming and dance for Years 4 and 5;
  • Bright and airy learning spaces, including a dedicated art and science studio;
  • Exciting playground, which fosters physical development and offers multiple gardening opportunities;
  • Sports pitch;
  • Librarian who develops library skills, as well as deepening children’s understanding of class topics through a wide range of books; and
  • Comprehensive programme of visits using central London as a resource.

As a fully extended school, we run a Breakfast Club and after-school Kids' Club. We also offer additional clubs such as choir, guitar, orchestra, computer, gymnastics, hockey, football, athletics, street dance, ballet, book club, drama, creative writing, gardening and DebateMate!

Finally, it is the strong and committed team of staff, parents and governors, which make our school the happy and successful place it is.

Why don't you come along to the school and see it for yourself? I look forward to meeting you at one of our prospective parent tours. In the meantime, please browse our website and enjoy the virtual tour.

With best wishes

Sophie Gavalda, Head Teacher
